Sankar Earns Name With Title 'Dev' As Demigod

It was more than an exceptional case with Sankar’s entry in the school what Master Kandalir found about him. In one unforgettable case Sankar had given supernatural evidence to Master Kandalir. This strange incident occurred when once Kandalir instructed the boys to compose a beautiful poem. Though other gave their level best to compose a beautiful poem but some even failed to attempt it. None of the composition appeared to be in complete form though some tried to scribble out best verses. Astonishingly Sankar made a complete poem.

What astounded the Master was not his effort in making a complete composition with good verses but the hidden higher spiritual concept in the poem without utilizing any vowel. Reading his composition of poem left Mahendra speechless as he didn't find words to express his brilliance. He felt that it was like word game for  Sankar. To challenge such a composition was caliber of none on earth till yet. It is the first of the kind case that such a composition had been produced by anybody in the world. The poem was read out to all in the class

                  karatala kamala kamaladala nayana |
                  bhavadava dahana gahana vana xayana ||
                  napara napara para xatarata gamaya |
                  xabhaya mabhaya bhaya xamahara xatataya ||
                  kharatara varaxara hatadaxa vadana |
                  khagachara nagadhara fanadhara xayana ||
                  jagadagha mapahara bhavabhaya tarana |
                  parapada layakara kamalaja nayana ||

The composition reflects in-depth connection to Hindu religious context. Sankar beautifully depicts about the prime lord 'Vishnu' the creator of the universe whose tender red feet rest on a lotus in an intrinsic manner. Tender was the age of Sankar but his verses constituted unparallel in-depth and reflects maturity of his mind as it were found to be beyond earth and heaven's measure.

Reading these exceptional beautiful verses of Sankar for an hour Mahendra with amazement automatically spelled out breaking his silence that what an explicit composition which is like relishing food without any application of oil and salt. In another exemplification Mahendra stated Sankar’s work as an art which is simply made without a thread piece to bind it. Generally in language we make a sentence with grammatical support but this work of Sankar was like delivering an explicit art work without any aid of it that is uniquely an exceptional case of all time.

Mahendra realized that this boy is not a normal one but a supernatural being in the guise of human who can be related to demigods. So from then onwards he gave him the 'Dev' title at the end of his name Sankar to signify him as demigod. Instantly from that time onwards everyone started calling him as Sankardev. From the very instance after reading the composition Mahendra came to believe that he is surely an incarnation of God who has taken birth as a human.

This was the great instance that Mahendra witnessed about young Sankardev that gave him a vast exposure about his exceptional personality. It was very evident from his performances and his deliverance of answer to all the queries of his subject that is not possible for a normal person to exhibit. In many cases Mahendra was often left spellbound with mesmiration about Sankardev's scholarly caliber and deliverance of dignified speeches. <br />

Sankardev was found to be an exceptional case of a genius, inspirer, wise and scholar in one being that set him apart from others. The excellent speed of grabbing knowledge made Sankardev a scholar within few span of time. Already loaded with excessive intelligence Sankardev made an easy vent in acquiring knowledge of tough scriptures in vedic literature that were penned down by exceptional scholars of ancient times. It was unique of kind for the rest to watch Sankardev grab the hard codes of religious scriptures and to relish its hidden value that opens one's door to achieve highest spiritual platform.

In close observance to Sankardev’s exceptional caliber to grasp the thoughts of religious literature in such a flawless manner Mahendra estimated him to be one day as an “Unvanquished Scholar” of all time. This thought of Mahendra not only found to be futile but really had its evidence as Sankardev in his scholarly pursuit succeeded in establishing himself as the unbeatable pandit/scholar of all time in India.

Sankar's New Challenge To Prove His Metallic Side

Watching grandson Sankar grow without any inclination towards study Kherhuti his grandmother approached him in an emotional manner after feeding him meal at night. Sitting beside him at his bed and fondling with her hands over him she spoke kindly to make him understand that he has now turned twelve years and guys of his age all had advanced in life while still he has remained backward in studies.

Flashing back to past memories she told that everyone in their generation were scholars (pundits in Indian) and only he has remained as a fool without any edge in studies. If he does not change his playful attitude and take seriously to studies then he will blow out the lamp which the scholars of their past generation had held.

He still has not started with his basic studies and if he continues to show no inclination it then the light of hope of taking this generation ahead will be diminished forever. Listening to these words of grandmother Sankar kept silent and gravely with calmness he asked her under whom he has to educate. He will resume to his studies seriously, without further asking anything. He planned to go to school in order to prove his grandmother that he is not a cod and has potent intelligence like any other.

Hearing these obedient words of Sankar his grandmother was deeply moved and felt peace of mind. Her heart melted and was in bliss forgetting about his entire past naughty acts. It was on the month of August on Thursday when Sankar was taken to Mahendra Kandalir's education center (pathsala in Indian terms) for admission. Sankar promised to his grandmother that within few days time he will be able to give her joy to make her see accomplish his education. Promised to prove his caliber within a short span of time to defy her assumption about him as a fool he Kept her interest. Moreover he was deeply ashamed and was stirred to take challenge to compete out from the rest.

On the first day itself the twelve years old Sankar was able to make his presence felt in the class with his vibrant aura and attitude. Everyone was charmed by his exclusive intelligence and captivating words. He was an extraordinary everybody came to know on the first day itself as he learned all the alphabets by heart without much effort which on the other hand takes ages for other to adapt it.

The master of the school suspected something unusual about him that reflects him to be far apart from the rest. Master Mahendra knew that “a genius is born with marks on both sides of a leaf “as it is usually an unusual factor to notice in many. During a span of few days Sankar learned all the books that are required for a guy of his age. His utter dedication to prove himself to his grandmother turned out to be fruitful within few days time as he became qualified among those of his age. He is not anymore a backward student struggling to grip his studies to complete with others in the class.

Sankar's explicit performance grew firm confidence over his master about his capability to master over his studies with perfection. Hardly the master was able to trace any flaw in his work. So from hence forth he placed him as the head in charge of the class and in his absence he asked Sankar  to guide other students in learning their subjects properly. This quality of Sankar at the tender age reflected that he is born to be a leader more than a follower which he later set this trademark more prominently by beating all the high profile scholars of his time in debate competitions.

Sankar's Test Of Supernatural Power

Test of power which Sankar exemplified many a times but the case of Brahmaputra is something prominent of all times. It was during monsoon season of Assam when the mighty river Brahmaputra swells to the brim that often creates chaotic flood from time immemorial. Sankar’s favorite past time was nearby Brahmaputra as he loves to make his dip down to its bottom and crossing it to the other side at tiny age. He was barley ten when he along with his file of friends went to the river side for swimming.

Nobody dares to challenge crossing a swelling Brahmaputra which is regarded as the widest river in India. But these tiny little boys of Sankar's gang dived in to the swelling bosom of the river to challenge who can swim far. Since the water was rising dangerously the other boys swam to the nearest distance before retreating back to the shore. They found Sankar missing and they could never imagine him to carry far along the speeding water current of the swelling river. Unable to see him in sight most of the guys thought he was drowned and his younger brother Bongayagiri wailed out of emotion.

This disappearance act of Sankar left the guys with gaped mouths in a speechless condition unable to understand what could happen to him. The group of boys was dampened with tears unable to understand how to relate about the tragedy to his grandmother. But Sankar was simply amazingly he continued to swim and he reached the other side of the river bank. He took rest for a while before starting off again and after an hour appeared from the water, reviving back the spirit of his friends with thrill of joy.

The most amazing and enthralling part for his friends was not that they found Sankar alive but the sight of the dolphin with which he emerged from the surface of the water. Finding Sankar not empty handed but had a wonderful catch of a baby dolphin that is quite rare to find in Brahmaputra were exuberantly delighted and the boys played with it for a long time before releasing it back to the water.
